For starters, the start of the food chain is toxic. That's right, toxic. There are toxins in the soils and plant seeds and these get eaten up by the animals who then get fed to us. Chickens get fed corn since corn is cheap and easy to process. The corn is scientifically modified to have the chickens grow faster when they eat it. These poor chickens grow so fast that they can hardly walk. They walk two steps and fall down. There could have been more information as to what company creates these chemicals that are added to the chicken food. The film directors either chose to not include it into the film or could not find the information needed to add it, but from the sounds of it based off the actors in the film, if you say too much you can get sued.
Politicians are involved in the food business. That's right, the people we're suppose to trust as citizens. Film director Robert Kenner touches very lightly on subjects regarding certain politicians and their affiliations with food companies. It's hard to believe that these corporations like Monsanto have so much control over forces like the F.D.A and the U.S.D.A.
I recommend this film. It's deffinitely an eye-opener and makes you wonder. What do politicians receive in exchange for approving the works of relentless food product corporations? Would there really be a huge setback in food production if we fed our animals a proper grass diet instead of a corn diet? Aren't there any healthier advances in science that can make food healthier? If there are, it could be awhile until we see the results. To start, eat organic. Shop organic. Live organic. Sounds simple right? It could be.
